01Overview
Two brands, one campus, one afternoon. Honour of Kings and Infinix needed a co-branded activation where neither logo looked like an afterthought and the whole thing could be built, run and struck inside a day.
02The challenge
Co-branded work usually collapses into a compromise: two palettes fighting on the same backdrop, two logo lock-ups, and a set that photographs badly for both.
On top of that, a campus activation has to survive a crowd. Whatever gets built has to look right from the front, from the side and in a phone photo taken over someone’s shoulder.
03Our approach
- One system, two brandsA single visual frame that both brands sit inside, with the hierarchy agreed before anything went to print.
- Designed as a photographThe backdrop, staging and lighting were laid out around where people would stand and where cameras would be.
- Print that survives a crowdMaterials, sizes and mounting chosen for a day of being leaned on, not for a studio shoot.
- Capture built into the run of showA shot list tied to the schedule so nothing important happened off camera.
04Execution
The set went up in the morning and the environment was live by midday. Through the activation the crew shot continuously (crowd, gameplay, product, portraits) and cut the first social pieces on site. Everything was struck the same evening.
05Results
- A co-branded environment that photographed cleanly for both partners
- Print, set and content produced by one team on one timeline
- Social assets delivered while the activation was still on campus
- A repeatable format for the next campus on the route
